Bearings are common and important parts in mechanical equipments.
Today I will share with you the difference between refurbished bearings and new bearings, and how to distinguish whether a bearing is a refurbished bearing when buying a bearing.
1. The size of the refurbished bearing has changed, the outer diameter is smaller and the inner diameter is larger.
2. Check the surface accuracy of the bearing to see if it is smooth. Refurbished bearings have a rougher surface.
3. Turn the bearing by hand. Refurbished bearings rotate unevenly.
4. Watch the gap between the cage and the rolling body. The refurbished bearing clearance is larger than the normal clearance.
Good way to identify refurbished bearings。
1. Refurbished bearings generally come from small bearing manufacturers. Due to limited technology and equipment, the bearing precision is low, the bearing surface is rough, the chamfer size is uneven, and some have black skin and pitting.
2. Some low-quality bearings are made of ordinary steel, carbon steel, malleable steel, and iron pipes, etc., and the appearance of these materials is mostly whitish, and the color of special bearing steel is greenish.
3. Some small manufacturers have simple heat treatment technology, and the bearings will be heated unevenly and slightly deformed.
4. Rotate the bearing to see whether the bearing rotates evenly, whether the sound is continuous, and there is no noise.
5. Look at the packaging, the packaging of regular manufacturers is consistent, and the font on the packaging is clear.
6. Look at the certificate of conformity, the bearings of regular manufacturers all have certificates of conformity and the certificates are of the same size. Most of the certificates are made of oil-proof paper with clear fonts, and some manufacturers have query information on the certificates.
7. Regular manufacturers bearing typing specifications, such as: bearing model ﹑ trademark ﹑ code. And some fake bearing fonts are engraved, and the fonts are blurred.
8. If possible, it is best to visit the bearing manufacturer or brand distributor in person.
